Multiple outlets, including our sister site, Deadline, are reporting that the Puerto Rican-born actor, who was filming All American at the time of his death, passed on Christmas Eve after a brief battle with cancer.

De Los Reyes was best known to daytime audiences as the popular character Antonio Vega on One Life to Live, a role he played from 1995 – 2009. The star captured soap fans’ hearts even further when he married one of our own, Sherri Saum, who appeared on Sunset Beach as Vanessa Hart and as One Life to Live’s Keri Reynolds, in 2007.

Known for multiple guest spots in Primetime series, including a major run as demon Jobe on Sleepy Hollow, de Los Reyes has filmed a stint in Hulu’s upcoming Washington Black, which stars This Is Us alum Sterling K. Brown, and a “significant” role in Marvel’s upcoming Daredevil series slated for Disney+.
