Maxie Comes to a Realization as Tracy’s Case Against Deception Moves Forward — and Sahsa’s Running Out of Time

In court, Tracy stuns Lucy and the others and says she’s here to protect her legal claim to The Deceptor. Lucy laughs, and Maxie argues Lucy created it. Lucy asks if this is about some ancient feud or her relationship with her brother… Tracy snaps, “You mean your cheap and tawdry affair with Alan while he was married to Monica?” Lucy throws the mob bosses Tracy’s been married to in her face. Maxie suggests they stop fighting and tells Lucy they need to figure out how they will get this case thrown out.

Tracy shocks lawsuit GH

The judge enters, and court begins. Jackson states his case, which includes proof of original designs on the original Deceptor which proves it was his client’s original idea, along with testimonies from many in the cosmetic industry to back them up. Elise counters that none of this “evidence” has been seen by her or her clients, and this is a frivolous lawsuit for money. The judge calls Jackson and Elise to the bench to see the evidence.

Judge and lawyers GH

After reviewing Jackson’s evidence, the judge declares they will proceed with a trial and sets the date for six months from now. He dismisses the court.

Lucy vents that in six months Deception will be ruined! Elise says nobody expected this, but once she looks at their evidence, she can make a plan. Until then, Lucy can’t sell the Deceptor. Lucy cries her company will go bankrupt if that happens.

Tracy saunters over, and Lucy asks what evidence she drummed up for this malicious lawsuit. Tracy says this is all Lucy’s doing as she attracts scandal, and reminds her of the Coco Cosmetics ponzi scheme mess she got herself into. Tracy says she could make the lawsuit go away in return for seventy-five percent of Deception. Lucy seethes, but Tracy says if this goes to trial and Lucy loses, she’ll lose it all. Tracy thanks Jackson for a job well done, and they walk out.

Brook Lynn tells the others she needs to talk to her grandmother and exits. She spies Tracy and Jackson talking in the hall, and once he leaves, Brook Lynn gives Tracy a glare of death, but storms off without saying a word.

Back in court, Elise tells Lucy and Maxie that Tracy must have actual documents about the development of The Deceptor, and ask how she could get her hands on such proprietary materials. Lucy says they should talk to Spinelli about how this could happen, and maybe they were hacked, but Maxie suggests this was an inside job. She reminds Lucy that Brook Lynn downloaded the information about The Decepter to a flash drive. Maxie knows this isn’t something Brook Lynn would do, and Lucy agrees unless Tracy had something to hold over her. Elise says it’s clear Brook Lynn has been working as a mole for Tracy.

Dante arrives at Ferncliff to see Sasha. He’s stopped from going into her room by Nurse Janice, so he explains he’s here about the stabbing incident she was involved in. Janice tells Dante she’s sorry to say someone has been supplying Sasha with illegal drugs, and she’s facing several setbacks. Dante would like to talk to her, and Janice points him to the room. Dante enters to find Sasha asleep. He tries to wake her, but she doesn’t stir.

Selina meets with Sonny in his office and thanks him for seeing her. He assumes this is important. Selina says it is, and unfortunately, the poker games at The Savoy are dead unless he steps in to save them. She explains Marshall has stepped in to run the club while Curtis is out, and he shut down the games. She’d like him to talk to Marshall about the games.

Selina and Sonny GH

Sonny refuses to say anything to Marshall, as he’s going through issues now with Curtis and doesn’t need any more stress. He says if Marshall wants the games shut down, that’s that, and he better not get reports of her interfering with or pressuring Marshall or Curtis.

Sonny puts foot down GH

Selina says she hears him, but Sonny needs her to be transparent with him. He asks if she’s doing any business with people he doesn’t know about. She swears nobody has reached out to her, and if they do, she’ll let him know. He finds that hard to believe as usually a businesswoman like herself has something on the side.

Sonny gets a call and tells Frank to send him in. Selina assumes they are done speaking. Dante walks in, and Sonny dismisses Selina. Alone, Dante explains he came to talk to him about Sasha and the news isn’t good. Dante says someone is smuggling in drugs to Sasha, and she’s completely out of it. Sonny talked to Sasha just before her breakdown and she was fine, so someone triggered her. Dante knows his father is going to do what he has to, but he is going to make some calls too.

At Crimson, Gladys comes clean with Nina and says the money is for the doctor who is treating Sasha at Ferncliff. Nina is not sure she can believe this version of her story and asks what doctor would prevent Sasha from getting out. Gladys says it’s complicated, so Nina tells her to simplify it or no money. Gladys explains the doctor is one of the men she plays poker with. She thought he was a friend, but he turned on her and is holding Sasha hostage until he gets his money. Nina says they should go to the hospital or the cops, but Gladys argues that won’t help as Sasha would still have to face the charges for stabbing Cody. Nina refuses to believe that Sasha just suddenly cracked.

Gladys and Nina bicker GH

Gladys says all she knows is Sasha met with this doctor, and everything started to go wrong. Nina asks what this doctor’s goal was? Was it to keep Gladys as Sasha’s guardian so she could pay him with Sasha’s money? Gladys believes yes, that is what he was planning. Nina demands she get the doctor on the phone. Gladys tries, but he doesn’t answer.

Nina surmises they should call Sonny, but Gladys begs her not to. She cries Sasha is in bad shape, she even asked her about Brando the last time she saw her. Gladys insists this is the only way to get her back. Nina says she’s going to go to Sonny and begins to walk out, but Gladys grabs her arm and refuses to let her do that. Gladys cries if Sonny knows about her gambling debts and her connection to this doctor and Sasha’s predicament, he’ll chase her out of Port Charles or worse. Nina demands to know who this doctor is, but Gladys won’t tell her his name. Nina doesn’t know how she is supposed to believe her. Gladys says she’s not lying, but if Nina tells Sonny the doctor’s name, then the doctor will mysteriously disappear and they may never get Sasha out.

Gladys tries to convince Nina GH

Glady’s phone rings, and Nina tells her to answer it. When Gladys sees it’s Selina she sends it to voice mail. Gladys pleads and cries to Nina, who finally agrees to give Gladys the money, but if this doctor doesn’t release Sasha unharmed, then she will sick Sonny on her. Gladys promises to repay Nina, but Nina isn’t going to hold her breath.

Outside somewhere, Selina leaves Gladys a message and expects payment on her account in full by the end of the day.

In an elevator at the hospital, Sam and Cody talk about his insane plan. Sam says this could go sideways, and what if he ends up drugged like Sasha? Cody says this is the only way he can help Sasha. The doors open, and Cody says, “Showtime!”

Cody Sam elevator GH

They meet with a psychiatrist named Dr. Brooks, and Sam explains Cody is a long-time friend of the family, and she’s been given his power of attorney because he’s been putting himself in danger lately. She gives examples of him climbing out on the ledge of his seventh-floor apartment, and walking in traffic. Cody complains he doesn’t want to be here, and the doctor asks in his office or here in general. Cody says, “On this planet, what is the point.”

Sam steps out to give Cody time alone with the doctor. She gets a coffee. Dr. Montague appears, and she runs into him with her coffee, spilling it on him. She apologizes profusely as he drops his phone, and she picks it up just as she sees Gladys calling. Dr. Montague asks why she’s here, and Sam explains she’s come to visit a friend. She wishes she had some cards to play a game with to pass the time. He asks what her game of choice is. She says poker, she loves the feel of the cards in her hands. Dr. Montague happens to know of a game she might be interested in and gives her a card.

Sam and Monty GH

Back in the doctor’s office, Dr. Brooks asks Cody if he’s having suicidal thoughts. Cody explains it’s more like suicidal impulses, and he doesn’t set out to find a way to kill himself, but sometimes he spontaneously does things like Sam said and he walks into traffic to see what would happen. The doctor asks how that makes him feel. He admits it gives him a high, and an adrenaline rush. That’s why he climbed out onto his widow ledge and says the bigger the risk and the closer to death the bigger the high he gets.

Cody and the doc GH

The doctor explains if he’s having suicidal impulses he’s obligated to intervene. He asks about Sam and why she’s worried about him. Cody explains he used to be a professional stuntman, and his specialty was skydiving. He admits sometimes he used to think about jumping and not pulling his shoot, because then he wouldn’t have to worry about anything ever again. He says everything would just be quiet, and over.

In the hall, a nurse tells Sam that Dr. Brooks needs to speak with her about Cody.

Later, Sam checks Cody into Ferncliff. She warns him if this plan goes sideways and hurts Sasha then she’ll kill him. Cody’s escorted off by an orderly as he acts like he’s in a daze.

Sam warns Cody GH

Meanwhile, Dr. Montague arrives and asks Janice how Sasha is. Janice says Sasha is showing signs of paranoia and claims he’s the one drugging her. Dr. Montague feels Sasha is deteriorating fast and it’s time for drastic measures. He goes in to see her alone, and she begs him to leave her alone. Dr. Montague refuses and says he stays by his patients to the very end.
