If you’ve been wondering what Blaze has been up to since leaving Port Charles behind, General Hospital viewers are about to find out. The latest issue of Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Jacqueline Grace Lopez will be heading back to the ABC soap.

Since leaving in April, Lopez told the outlet that she’s been busier than ever. Even so, she had been hoping to come back to daytime and got her wish! And the best part is, she won’t just be in the background anymore… the powers that be want to explore the character of Blaze and told her as much.

After receiving a call from casting director Mark Teschner, Lopez learned that executive producer Frank Valentini wanted her to be a part of an upcoming story arc. “When I first came on the show, I knew I was helping to move storyline along for Chase and Brook Lynn so it really meant a lot that I made an impression,” Lopez stated.

Fans can expect to see her first scenes back with Kate Mansi (Kristina) and Amanda Sutton (Brook Lynn), to which Lopez expressed, “I’m really looking forward to working with them more and getting to learn more about Blaze.”

Fans will recall, one of the last times we saw Blaze in Port Charles was during the Nurses Ball. She and Chase performed together but before the night was over, Linc made a scene but ended up being called out in front of everyone for the scumbag he really was and Dante threw him out of the venue. The character made a final appearance when she turned up to speak on Chase’s behalf with the review committee in order to help her friend get his job back at the Port Charles Police Department.
