Steve Burton’s Return CONFIRMED! Co-Star Drops Big Hints
The last time we saw Jason Morgan on General Hospital was way back in 2021. The fan-favorite character perished under the rubble of a cave. This unexpected twist was written into the soap to accommodate Steve Burton’s departure from the ABC soap. The talented actor was axed by the production over non-compliance with the vaccine mandate put in by Disney. However, later the mandate was lifted once the pandemic had seemingly calmed down.
Ever since then, General Hospital fans have been holding on to the hope that the makers will bring back Steve Burton as Jason Morgan. After all, Jason’s death was actually an open end! His body was never recovered. Hence, the possibility of him being in hiding or well kidnapped (in true GH style) is quite solid. The fact that the actor parted with the production on good terms also helps in leaving the door open for his return! Interestingly, Steve’s current ex-co-star of General Hospital, and current on DOOL has dropped a comment that serves as a major hint toward Jason’s return to Port Charles!
Wally Kurth Hints At Steve Burton’s Return To General Hospital
Recently, Wally Kurth (Ned Quartermaine on General Hospital and Justin Kiriakis on DOOL) appeared on a podcast. Amidst a variety of discussions, he made a comment about how Steve Burton is currently on DOOL but bets “he’ll be back on the show (General Hospital) soon.” Ever since Wally dropped the comment, social media has been on fire! While, of course, it is just Wally’s opinion, we feel there could be some truth in it. Besides, in recent times, GH has written off so many key characters. The soap has become dangerously low on loved characters.
Hence, bringing back a fan-favorite would go a long way in bumping General Hospital’s popularity higher than it already is. Moreover, going by Harris (Steve Burton)’s storyline on Days of Our Lives, it feels like he barely has anything to do. And that just feels like such a waste of a powerful actor like him!
