General Hospital spoilers reveals the last thing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was expecting on a recent date night with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was for him to ask her if she wanted to get married. His use of the word forever threw an emotional Willow for a loop, while he remained in the dark about her cancer diagnosis and why she was so sentimental.
Michael’s response was jubilant, and his eyes lit up at the idea of getting married to Willow. While she noticed his excitement, it was hard to muster up any of her own or make a promise to Michael knowing he was thinking forever meant much longer than Willow might have.

When Willow first received her leukemia diagnosis on General Hospital, Michael wasn’t with her. The slightest sign that something was off made her instinctively want to protect him. She hasn’t really explored why that is yet. It’s not as though she found out by accident that she is sick and decided she didn’t know how to tell Michael the truth. Rather, she found out something probably was wrong with her, and she immediately went to great lengths to conceal it from him. Michael may be willing to overlook those details for a while, but not forever.
GH Spoilers – Tease Michael Corinthos Will Insist On Marriage
Michael is going to insist that he and Willow make things official, which will feel all too reminiscent of her marriage to Chase for Willow. As he pushes her to plan a wedding and she hesitates, he will once again miss the mark and assume her reluctance is only because she doesn’t have the energy. As Michael continues to make demands, he’ll bring in Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to help with the wedding planning. As it turns out, Michael’s heart will be in the right place, too, as he fools himself into believing marrying Willow will keep her alive. However, the whole time Michael thinks he’s battling leukemia for Willow, he may be competing with someone else entirely.
General Hospital Spoilers — Willow Tait’s Mind Will Drift Toward T.J. Ashford
The more that Michael sinks his teeth into a future with Willow, the less she will feel like she can see herself in it. Eventually, Willow is going to realize that while it wasn’t her intent to cut Michael out of the picture in not telling him about her diagnosis for so long, doing so did just that.
In the time that she wasn’t sharing her feelings with Michael, she was establishing them with T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow), and he has come to feel like home and a safe space for her while Michael has started to feel less so. As Willow prepares to walk down the aisle with Michael — at the Q mansion, of course — will she be able to say I do when she’s picturing the face of her alleged friend T.J. staring back at her?
