General Hospital Spoilers report Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was thrilled to see Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) last week, even if it was in a jumpsuit. Convincing him to let her hire Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to consider an appeal to his conviction was high on her list of priorities. But Carly couldn’t help but grow distracted as she found herself in familiar company.
According to GH spoilers, Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) wasn’t the only friendly face that caught her attention. What was Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) doing there, and will she connect the dots when she learns how Drew knows Book (Brad Schmidt)?

Decks was very clear when giving book orders from Sonny Corinthos. He was to leave Drew alone — permanently.
In fact, no one in the cell Block wants to come anywhere near Drew or cause of any harm. Sure, on the surface, it looks like Sonny is looking out for Drew – which would only delight his ex-wife. But the reality may be a bit more sinister.
Sonny could be onto Cyrus Renault, and he may want to make sure no one harms Drew, because he wants to ensure that no one harm Cyrus before he can take care of his business with him the way that he sees fit.
We all know what that means in the mob world. but it’s also possible that Drew safety is being preserved only because Sonny wants to appear good and heroic and Carly’s eyes, bringing her back over to his side inch by inch.
GH Spoilers – Suggest Sonny Corinthos Wants Carly Spencer Back
Would anyone be surprised at this point to learn that Sonny wants Carly back? We think not. These two ex-lovers have been dancing around their feelings for one another for months. We all know how thin that line is between love and hate – especially where Sonny is concerned.
Carly is still grieving that loss and what he did to her, but at the same time, She wants things to feel good again.
It’s not that Carly isn’t in love with Drew, but she learned long ago that she will never share a connection with another man that feels as strongly and as intense as she does with Sonny.
Does this mean that all it takes for Sonny to get Carly back is merely wanting her back? Likely not. But he’s going to make some serious headway by appealing to wear. Her heart lies right now – and that is with Drew.

Of course, Sonny isn’t really protecting Drew so much as he is making sure Book doesn’t interfere with anyone else who might come after him.
Decks didn’t relay orders that told Brooke to stick up for Drew or intervene if someone was attacking him.
Rather, the order was clear that it couldn’t be Book who did so. In other words, is Sonny just setting the stage for Cyrus to retaliate against Drew when he doesn’t get what he wants out of him — knowing that the whole time it will look like Sonny was on the right side and trying to keep Drew out of harm’s way?
