Foes Become Friends, Become Lovers – Anna & Sonny Headed For A Romance

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint at some shocking hookups on the horizon in Port Charles. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were rivals back in the day when the former superspy was head of the PCPD. She tried to bring the town’s mob boss to his knees on occasion, but Sonny has always had a way of escaping legal ramifications for his “coffee” business.

The two have recently had increased scenes together since news broke about Anna’s double-agent status. Sonny made it crystal clear that he in no way judged her past, and since then, he and Anna have established common ground.

Interactions have increased after an unknown person aimed a bullet in the two’s vicinity at the Metro Court pool, while they were sharing a drink and chat.

Anna and Sonny avoided injury; however, their friend Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) continues to struggle with his condition after the bullet struck him instead of its intended target. Sonny offered protection to Anna at the time, but she respectfully declined.

After that bullet-bonding moment, Anna has been stalked by someone unknown to her, although fans now know it’s Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

The recent ransacking of her hotel room shook Anna enough to reach out to Sonny and take him up on his “protection” offer she had once said “no” to.

There are some interesting dynamics at play within this General Hospital storyline. Sonny and Anna are two power players in the land of Port Chuckles, but they’ve also escaped any real interaction over the years, even as “just” friends.
