Esme’s New Boyfriend Causes Drama – Spencer Wary of Ace’s Mom Dating?
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) is falling more in love with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) every day, so Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) is seemingly out of luck if she ever hopes to rekindle anything with her former flame.
Although Esme can’t remember her shady past, Spencer certainly can!
Even if Spencer wasn’t a couple with Trina, he could surely never get over all the awful things Esme’s done.
It’s one thing for Spencer to tolerate Esme enough to help her raise Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay), but it’s quite another for him to open his heart to her in any meaningful way.
Esme drugged Trina, framed her and nearly sent her to prison – not to mention she leaked the video of Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) sleeping together to begin with.
All of that certainly still matters whether Esme recalls it or not, so let’s hope the ship has sailed when it comes to Esme and Spencer as a pairing – especially since she was targeting him from the start.
It’d be better for Esme to focus on getting herself a new boyfriend, which brings us to a potential hint in the October 11 episode.
In that episode, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) mentioned that Esme doesn’t have much of a social life compared to Spencer and suggested that could lead to friction.
Esme only goes to work and parents Ace, so she’s isolated and latching onto Spencer as a result.
It might be beneficial for all parties involved if Esme branched out and found some new friends.
Unfortunately, it could also bring the potential for trouble depending on who Esme gets to know.
This might be an excellent time for the show to bring on a new male character in Esme’s age range.
Perhaps a bad boy could debut who would ultimately become Esme’s boyfriend down the road.
That could cause some issues in her co-parenting arrangement with Spencer, particularly if Esme lets the new guy in her life get to know Ace and help care for him.
Spencer doesn’t trust just anyone around his little brother and might worry about Esme’s judgment when it comes to who she’s letting near Ace.
This would be a fresh angle to pursue in this storyline, so stick with us for updates on whether Esme might get herself a new beau sooner or later.
