Cyrus Frames Fake Enemy to Dupe Sonny – Drew’s False Info on Austin’s Patient?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) may turn the tables on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in a big way. GH fans know Cyrus talked to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) about how much he loved chess since it allows you to see how your opponent’s mind works.

Cyrus hated the fact that Sonny walked free, but the game isn’t over yet!

There hasn’t been a checkmate when it comes to Sonny and Cyrus’ match, so Cyrus could still prove he’s smarter than the mistake he made.

Sonny was able to dupe Cyrus with the bogus information that Brick (Stephen A. Smith) dummied up for him.

That info ultimately landed in Cyrus’ hands thanks to Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) delivery.

Of course, Sonny doesn’t know who exactly Austin was visiting that day, so that’s why he’s tasked Drew with figuring it out.

Drew is hopeful about getting some answers from a guard in exchange for an Aurora Media internship for the guy’s graduating son.

The guard will presumably do some digging and report back to Drew, but there could be a big problem since Cyrus was listening in on that conversation.

Cyrus presumably knows that Drew intends to blab to Sonny, so this is the perfect chance for Cyrus to take an “eye for an eye” approach.

Since Cyrus was fooled by wrong info, maybe he’ll want to make sure Sonny gets fooled by wrong info, too.

Cyrus could easily bribe or threaten the guard into giving Drew the wrong name.

In other words, Drew might be told that Austin was visiting some other inmate – perhaps a member of another mob family or someone else who Sonny has a negative history with.

It’d be a great way to throw Sonny off the trail and make him think that his locked-up foe is someone else entirely.

That would give Cyrus an opportunity to regroup and move forward with a new plan against Sonny, who might never see him coming!
