General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) lost almost everything she owned during the past year. Carly discovered that ELQ and Aurora Media were planning to merge after overhearing Drew Cain (Cameron Matheson) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) discussing their plans.
Hoping to help, Carly invested heavily in Aurora. In order to make that happen, she temporarily sold her half of the Metro Court. But plans for the merger fell through, and Carly lost quite a bit of money which left her unable to repurchase her share of the high-rise hotel.

But Carly’s financial problems didn’t end there. Since she was acting on inside information given to her by Michael and Drew indirectly, she committed insider trading when she purchased all the Aurora Media Stock she could.
Eventually the SEC discovered Carly’s crime and she was given a hefty fine of five millions dollars. Carly paid the fine but was left mostly penniless. Her mother, Bobbie Spencer (the late Jacklyn Zeman) offered to sell Kelly’s Diner to Carly for one dollar!
GH Spoilers – Carly Spencer Has Big Plans For Kelly’s Diner!
Carly plans to turn the purchase of Kelly’s into a huge profit. The first steps in her plan include a huge remodel. Although Carly hasn’t really divulged exactly what her plans are, her financial future begins with Kelly’s.
Whether she plans to make the Diner a franchise or simply expand the restaurant itself remains to be scene. However, there is a good change that Carly’s dreams may go up in smoke leaving her back at square one!
General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Is As dangerous As Ever!
Although Carly is no longer married to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), they remain close. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is still serving time at Pentonville prison but he is obviously pulling the strings behind many criminal activities in Port Charles.
He may choose to target Carly since she is less protected now that her marriage to Sonny has ended. Cyrus once had a bomb planted inside the Floating Rib, and he could easily duplicate his M.O. at Kelly’s.
Whether or not anyone is injured remains to be seen, but Kelly could very well burn to the ground, leaving Carly with nothing once more.
