General Hospital Recap: Thursday, September 14 – Spencer Plays Hero After Trina’s Accident – Cyrus Busts Drew

Recap: Thursday, September 14 – Spencer Plays Hero After Trina’s Accident – Cyrus Busts Drew

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, September 14, reveals that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) didn’t want to believe Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) would do anything to physically hurt her, but Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) insisted that Gladys used Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) to send Sasha to Ferncliff.

Once Cody heard someone coming, Sasha hid while Cody armed himself and opened the door.

It turned out to be Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), so Cody was relieved to see them.

After Cody explained to Sasha how Sam helped him with the escape plot, Dante apologized for not believing Cody sooner.

Dante also told Sasha that he was sorry about Gladys’ betrayal, so Sasha asked why Gladys would do this.

Dante and Cody explained Gladys’ massive poker game debt and how she’d been stealing from Sasha to repay it. Gladys sabotaged Sasha’s attempt to end her guardianship since it was the only way to stay in control of her money.

Sasha worried about being a fugitive mental patient along with Cody, but Sam offered reassurance since she was helping them – and so was Dante.

At Pentonville, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) joined Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in the visiting area, where Sonny admitted there was a situation that he could use Drew’s help on.

Sonny offered updates on the unknown enemy that he’d been trying to smoke out and said he was pretty sure that it was somebody in Pentonville.

The goal was for Drew to find out who Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) came to see with his doctor’s bag since the trail stopped there.

Drew pointed out that Sonny had a lot of enemies and that this plan could blow up in a bad way if he asked the wrong person.

Sonny didn’t want Drew to mess up his chance at a reduced sentence, but Drew agreed to do whatever he could to help and told Carly he’d be careful.

After Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) was summoned to the warden’s office, Warden Garten (Diahnna Nicole Baxter) ranted at him for hanging her out to dry with false info and vowed that he was going to pay for it.

Cyrus made it clear that he was the one who got Warden Garten her job and added that no one was more upset about Sonny’s freedom than him.

After the Warden Garten fumed over Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey), Cyrus admitted Mason’s usefulness may be coming to an end.

Cyrus told Warden Garten that they’d both made strategic moves when it came to the judge involved and suggested that the decision to make her warden could easily be reversed.

Warden Garten asked if that was a threat, but Cyrus just quoted scripture at her.

After Warden Garten warned Cyrus to keep his nose clean, she summoned a guard to take him away.

Back with Drew, he cornered a guard and asked about his son, who was graduating from PCU this spring.

Drew hinted about getting him an internship at Aurora Media, so the guard asked what Drew would want in return.

Although Drew said he’d get the internship regardless, he did want some information.

Drew inquired about who Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt came to see on August 23, but he didn’t realize Cyrus was eavesdropping nearby.

Once Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) answered Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) call and promised he’d come help her move back in the dorm, he turned his attention to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and delivered a message from Sonny.

Dex said Sonny would be unreachable for the next few hours since he was visiting Drew at Pentonville with Carly.

That left Nina nervous about the reason for the visit as she flashed back to turning Carly and Drew in for insider trading.

Once Dex showed up at Josslyn’s dorm room to assist with her move-in, Adam (Joshua Benard) arrived at the door and seemed a bit flirty with Joss.

After Adam asked if Joss needed help, she said she already had some as Dex appeared beside her.

Adam was thrown over Dex’s presence and got confirmation that Dex wasn’t a student there.

When Adam urged Josslyn to join his study group for organic chem and talked about how important it was, she said she couldn’t commit right now – though she agreed to think about it.

Since Josslyn was in a rush to get things done, she hurried and shut the door on Adam. Once Josslyn turned her attention back to Dex, he admitted Adam had a point.

Dex acted like maybe Josslyn should join the study group, so she cracked a joke about him dumping her because she was pre-med.

Josslyn and Dex eventually stripped down for passion despite needing to get the boxes unpacked.

At the gallery, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was listening to music in her headphones when Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) showed up and called out to her.

Trina slipped off the ladder she was standing on and fell in Spencer’s arms, which she found both embarrassing and romantic.

Talk eventually turned to Ava Jerome (Maura West) being distracted and forgetting an important detail, so Trina admitted it was highly unusual for her to drop the ball when it came to the gallery.

Spencer was confused over why Trina would go back to working for Ava instead of staying at The Chuck, which could be a stepping stone to a better job.

Trina explained that she wanted to feel like she was part of the process when it came to art, so she wasn’t focused on stepping stones or impressive titles.

After Trina opened up about all the drama happening in her life, Spencer comforted her and suggested he’d come up with a way for them to have alone time.

Spencer pitched a trip to Turks and Caicos, but Trina turned him down since school was about to start back up.

When Trina suggested they could take a weekend trip to New York City instead, Spencer gushed over all the exciting things they’d do and kissed her.

On his way out, Spencer called a hotel to get their best suite while Trina smiled as she gazed at her turtledove back inside.

At GH, Ava Jerome (Maura West) warned Austin that she was done with Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) threats and vowed to tell Sonny everything if she didn’t get Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) body as promised.

Austin insisted Mason would come through one way or another, so Ava asked what that meant and demanded to know if Austin was double-crossing her.

After Austin denied it, Ava thought that was good news since he knew what she was capable of when she was pushed too far – especially when she was protecting Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola).

Austin questioned if Ava thought Nikolas would’ve actually hurt Avery, but she refused to take any chances after what happened to Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin).

Once Austin reassured Ava about the body situation, he urged her to be patient since nothing good could come from talking to Sonny.

Ava insisted she meant what she said and would go to Sonny if she didn’t get what she was promised.

At the Metro Court, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was in a good mood and acted like it was because of Sonny’s freedom.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) suspected there was another reason, so Olivia admitted how great it was with “Eddie Maine” aka Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) at the recording studio.

Once Olivia talked about her decision to accept “Eddie” for who he was, she shared how impressed she was with his talent. Olivia hinted that “Eddie” opened up a part of her that she forgot existed.

Nina wondered if Olivia was falling for “Eddie” and asked if she didn’t necessarily want Ned back, so Olivia seemed rattled and took off.

General Hospital spoilers say Olivia and “Eddie” have more complications ahead of them, so stay tuned!
