General Hospital Killed a Promising Character For Its Most Forgettable Storyline

Why kill off such a beloved character?

One of the longest running soap operas on American television is General Hospital. The show premiered in 1963 and has become a favorite for so many generations that it’s now considered a classic.

As any soap opera suggests, there are hundreds of characters and so many storylines that sometimes it’s even hard to remember them all, let alone get invested in them.

Throughout the show, there are so many cast changes that it doesn’t make sense to root too hard for any of them, as they might as well leave the show tomorrow.

However, fans can’t help but fall in love with some characters and stories and hate the others (it’s just natural, isn’t it?). And one of the most appreciated characters in the show lately was actually Brando Corbin, portrayed by Johnny Wactor.

And the fans of the show are still wondering why on Earth would the writers do that.

Basically, the character’s potential was washed away for the sake of a forgettable storyline where he was used as a common pawn.

“I really liked Brando, and I also thought he had a lot of potential. I hated that they killed him off and the baby. I don’t even remember who the hook killer was, to be honest. It’s sad because it resulted in Sasha being relegated to a useless character along with Coby,” Redditor Midnight_Dave said.

Viewers also hated the aftermath of the character’s horrible sendoff because they hated his mother, Gladys. She tortured him so much when he was alive, and then turned her attention to Sasha after his death. Poor Sasha also suffered at the hands of the evil doctor, as if killing her love was not enough…
