Sonny’s Arrest Could Lead Directly to… OMG!
The gears of justice grind so, so slowly in Port Charles, but now it looks like they may have finally caught up with General Hospital’s favorite mob boss, Sonny Corinthos. But that doesn’t mean anyone is happy about it! Well, almost anyone.
From the second Sonny was arrested on Friday, the fans were already pretty sure that it had “Josslyn” written all over it. Joss, though, Eden McCoy insists to Soap Opera Digest in their recent issue, vehemently denies any involvement.
“As much as she’s encouraged other people to turn in Sonny,” the actress explains, “I don’t think she was ever going to take it upon herself to do it.”
But the fans aren’t the only ones to suspect Joss, with Carly, Michael and Dex putting their heads together to come to the same conclusion… and confronting her! Whoah, whoah! She had nothing to do with it, Joss insists. “She has a very visceral reaction to them even suggesting that she was the one who did it,” McCoy tells Digest.
And that’s more than enough for her family. The four of them set about trying to figure out how this happened. Did the feds somehow recover the flash drive and restore its contents? Ultimately, though, who did it may be secondary to what’s coming next. The Corinthos family is circling the wagons for the first time in ages. Because with how hard it’s hitting Josslyn, it may just be what was needed to bring her back into the fold.
“I think knowing that it has actually happened has a different kind of effect,” Joss’ portrayer muses. “It hits her a lot deeper than she perhaps thought it would.”
In other words, by the time they figure out whodunnit and how to get Sonny back out of prison, he may have a family once again. They’ve been fractured for long, it seems almost crazy, but the one thing they were all, at one point, hoping for, may be what brings them back together.
