Melinda’s Pregnancy Derails Two Plots – Surprise Baby Stops Trask & Li’s Scheming?
Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) will keep up her efforts to find incriminating evidence against Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). Melinda is hoping to score enough to get Li arrested, make a big splash and ensure her own job security now that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) is Salem’s new mayor.
However, Li’s counting on his ability to charm Melinda and protect himself – though he’s starting to get a bit suspicious of her own agenda.
Days spoilers say that could make Li even more determined to keep Melinda close and make sure she falls so hard that she won’t throw any legal consequences at him.
Of course, there’s one thing that could throw off Li and Melinda’s plans. When Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) was defending Melinda to Li, he brought up the fact that she lost her daughter, Haley Chen (Thia Megia).
DOOL fans will recall how tough that loss was on Melinda, but what if a new child is on the horizon? Could a surprise pregnancy derail Melinda and Li’s plots?
It’d be an interesting Days twist that would really throw off all the scheming that Li and Melinda are doing. Melinda and Li might put their ulterior motives aside and focus on the baby they’re having together if Melinda ends up with a bun in the oven.
Although this potential child could never replace Haley, it could still fill a void for Melinda. It could also connect to Melinda’s whole situation with Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty), who might get even angrier over her own baby loss if the universe is handing out children to everyone else!
As for Li, having a baby with Melinda could help him truly close the door on his past with Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus). Li got pretty obsessed with Gabi, but this could be his chance to let himself fully fall for Melinda and build a family with her.
If Melinda gets pregnant with Li’s kid, it could shake up both their worlds and force them to consider what a happy future together might look like. Melinda might back off her arrest goal while Li genuinely tries to lock in a new chapter with her.
