Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that there could be a reason why the show briefly let Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) interact with Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos) before his latest return stint concluded.
In DOOL’s March 14 episode, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) was quite excited about Eli’s promotion, which involved him working with both the FBI and the DOJ.
After Julie urged Eli to spread the good news at the Kiriakis mansion, Konstantin seemed a bit uneasy to be in the presence of a federal agent.
Days made a point to focus on Konstantin’s expression and the fact that he was seemingly trying to hide his discomfort.
Konstantin also made himself scarce soon after, so it seems like that encounter with Eli could mean something.
That’s especially true since Eli specified that his new promotion would lead to a lot more international travel.
Of course, Konstantin is a conman who probably has plenty of criminal secrets that Days fans don’t even know about yet.
If Konstantin would target a vulnerable widow like Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) and go after the Kiriakis fortune, then he’s likely capable of so much more.
We’ve already seen how Konstantin is targeting John Black (Drake Hogestyn) for revenge, so the show has barely scratched the surface of his sinister side.
It’s possible Eli picked up on Konstantin’s weird vibe, so maybe he’ll decide to do some digging and look out for Maggie.
Since Maggie was kind enough to open her home to Eli, Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) and the twins during their latest Days stint, doing some Konstantin research is the least Eli can do.
Eli surely has all kinds of connections that he can rely on – and since he mentioned international travel, he might end up in Greece at some point and poke around there, too.
Could Eli uncover some new shockers and play a role in Konstantin’s exposure down the road?
It’s worth mentioning that John will take a Greece trip of his own soon, so that might even lead to an unexpected collaboration with Eli.
Whatever the case, it’ll be interesting if Eli returns to Salem sooner or later and pulls the rug out from under Konstantin.
If it happens on Konstantin and Maggie’s wedding day, that could deliver maximum drama!
