Days of Our Lives Recap: Thursday, November 9 – Gabi Sent to Statesville – Stefan Attacks EJ – Arianna’s Sad Phone Call

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Thursday, November 9, reveals that that forensics report came in and showed Gabi DiMera’s (Camila Banus) prints were on the knife as expected. Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) told Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) there was another set of prints, but then she admitted they belonged to Li Shin (Remington Hoffman).

That lined up with Wendy Shin’s (Victoria Grace) statement about the knife being one from the kitchen since Li was using it earlier.

At home on Thursday’s Days episode, Wendy tried to call Mr. Wei Shin (Clyde Kusatsu) to deliver the news about Li’s demise, but she couldn’t get the words out.

Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) took the phone and gave Mr. Shin updates on his son’s passing instead.

When Jada showed up later, she fished for more information on Li’s mental state since he’d been angry and perhaps unstable earlier.

Wendy ripped into Jada for implying that Li would do this to himself and frame Gabi for it.

Since Jada was dating Gabi’s brother, Wendy acted like Jada wanted Gabi to walk free. However, Jada insisted she was just trying to acquire all the facts and get justice.

After Jada left, Wendy admitted to Tripp that it probably wasn’t the best idea to take her frustration out on one of her bosses. Wendy figured she might have the shortest career in the Salem PD history.

Back at the police station, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) brought Gabi her favorite breakfast from the bakery, but she acted like she shouldn’t get used to Sweet Bits since she was probably going to prison.

Stefan gave Gabi a pep talk before Rafe delivered the bad news regarding the forensics report. Rafe made it clear that he was looking into other evidence and trying to find other suspects, but Gabi wasn’t optimistic.

Even so, Stefan was hopeful about Belle Brady (Martha Madison) using EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) grudge to argue there was a conflict of interest and get the charges dismissed.

Belle showed up at the DiMera mansion and indeed brought up EJ’s grudge against Gabi, but he insisted he was prosecuting Gabi based on the evidence.

Since that evidence was circumstantial, Belle acted like EJ didn’t have enough for a conviction and should drop the charges before he lost his first case on the job.

Afterward, Belle headed to the Salem PD to tell Gabi and Stefan that she had no luck with EJ. Unfortunately, Belle also had to reveal that EJ would likely try to get Gabi’s bail denied at the arraignment.

Once Gabi headed to court offscreen, it was revealed that the judge denied bail like EJ wanted. EJ gloated, so Stefan lunged toward him and gripped him by the throat until EJ pushed him away.

While Wendy and Tripp found out about Gabi’s arraignment outcome, Rafe arranged for his sister’s prison transport.

Gabi shared an emotional phone call with Arianna Horton (Lane Rosa) and vowed that she was innocent.

Although Gabi still had to head to prison, she assured Arianna that it would all get sorted out and that they’d be reunited.

As for Rafe, he wasn’t sure how long Gabi would have to stay behind bars before the trial.

Rafe promised to keep working to clear Gabi’s name and free her, so Gabi hugged her big brother as they said goodbye.

Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Gabi shared a tearful farewell with Stefan, so they kissed and cried as they made plans for what they’d do when she got out.

Stefan and Gabi expressed their love before an officer led Gabi away for her prison transport.

At their motel room, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) assured a guilt-ridden Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) that there was no need to fret.

Leo would miss a few things about his old life, but he was committed to starting a new one with Dimitri.

After Leo spotted some news about Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) being in town, he hoped the doc could help them flee the country.

Dimitri thought Dr. Rolf might be long gone since he was a fugitive too, but then Dr. Rolf showed up at the door.

Although Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) was disappointed for Dimitri losing his inheritance, she was willing to help him flee. The catch was Megan didn’t want Leo to come along.

Dimitri insisted they were a package deal and assured Dr. Rolf that he could handle Megan, so they all made plans to leave on the submarine.

Once Dr. Rolf took off to prepare for the journey on Thursday’s Days episode, Leo and Dimitri packed up their belongings.

Just as Dimitri and Leo opened the door to leave, they were stunned to see Jada standing there.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Leo and Dimitri will have to wiggle out of a tight spot, so stay tuned to DOOL.
