Days of Our Lives Recap: Monday, December 25 – Paulina’s Biopsy – Sloan’s Alarming Discovery – Holly Confesses to Nicole

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, December 25, reveals that Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) came home from her brief getaway with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and felt bad about missing Holly Jonas’ (Ashley Puzemis) birthday, but EJ assured her that Holly understood.

Since Holly was normally up by now for Christmas, Nicole decided to head upstairs and check on her.

That left EJ alone in the living room when Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) dragged himself in looking rough.

Stefan admitted he’d been at the prison infirmary all night since Gabi Hernandez DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) had a broken leg.

After Stefan blamed himself, he decided EJ deserved some blame since his brother refused to help Clyde Weston (James Read) with his drug business.

EJ realized Clyde turned to Stefan instead and that he was threatening Gabi to keep him in line.

Stefan admitted Clyde was threatening Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) to ensure Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) cooperation as well.

Stefan begged EJ for help getting rid of Clyde since he had a whole DiMera enforcement team at his disposal, but EJ refused to jeopardize his family and career.

EJ also warned that Stefan could end up at Statesville if he got into trouble, but he joked that the bright side was that Stefan might land in a cell next to Gabi.

At home on Monday’s Days episode, Ava had a horrible nightmare that Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) arrested her for being part of Clyde’s drug empire.

Once Ava woke up startled, Harris showed up for real and offered the Christmas gift he bought her since he couldn’t return it.

It was a necklace, so Ava allowed Harris to put it on her.

Harris called Ava beautiful and hoped for another chance since he didn’t understand why she was pushing him away.

Ava stood her ground and tried to give the necklace back, but Harris pushed her to keep it and said he wasn’t giving her up without a fight.

Back at the DiMera mansion on Monday’s DOOL show, Holly awoke with a hangover and was horrified when she realized she’d called Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) last night.

Nicole found Holly taking aspirin and quickly realized she reeked of alcohol, so Holly admitted she drank some scotch from the mini bar since she was bored and sad.

Nicole understood that everything that happened with the baby had been hard on Holly – including the recent Jude Brady kidnapping fiasco.

Holly also hinted about something that happened with Johnny, but she wasn’t ready to talk about it yet.

After Nicole decided Holly could use some fresh air, they headed to the town square.

On a bench, Holly told Nicole about her feelings for and was concerned about what she might’ve said when she drunk-dialed him.

Nicole was sympathetic, but she gently urged Holly to see that it was a case of infatuation, not love.

At Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan Petersen-Brady’s (Jessica Serfaty) place, Sloan acted funny about Eric wanting to put Jude in the Santa onesie Nicole gave them.

Eric reminded Sloan that Nicole needed help and not prison, but Sloan still didn’t want the kidnapper anywhere near Jude.

After Eric took Jude out for a while, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) arrived at Sloan’s door and refused to spend another night in the men’s shelter.

If Sloan wanted her secret kept under wraps, then she’d have to give him money and a roof over his head.

Leo demanded a nice room with all the amenities at the Salem Inn and dug his heels in despite Sloan’s complaints.

Once Eric showed up in the town square with Jude in his stroller, Nicole tried to bolt with Holly.

Eric stopped Nicole and said he told Sloan that they were likely to run into each other sometimes.

Nicole blabbed about Holly’s hangover, so Eric suggested a greasy breakfast would help and got the two of them to join him at a table.

After Holly asked if she could hold Jude, Eric let her pick him up and introduce herself.

Eric and Nicole also reminisced about when Holly was little, so they were all laughing when Sloan and Leo appeared in the distance.

Leo pointed out that Nicole, Eric, Holly and Jude looked like the perfect little family, so Sloan looked uneasy at the sight of them all together.

At the hospital on Monday’s Days episode, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) downplayed her symptoms to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans).

Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) remained concerned and mentioned the lump on Paulina’s neck.

Paulina wondered if the nodule was cancer, but Kayla couldn’t be sure based on a physical examination.

Kayla suggested that there was a good possibility it was benign, but she thought Paulina should have a biopsy to be sure.

As for Paulina’s other symptoms, Kayla suggested it sounded like a case of hypothyroidism, which could be treated with a daily pill.

However, Paulina needed further testing and made an appointment to see an endocrinologist.

Chanel couldn’t thank Kayla enough for all her help, so Kayla admitted there actually was something Chanel could do for her.

Since Kayla had to dress up and fill in as Santa, she needed someone else to read the nativity story on Monday’s Days episode. Paulina piped up that she would do it, so she sweetly read to the children at the hospital soon after.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Paulina will face more news on her condition in the coming episodes, so stay tuned for updates on what she’s facing.
