Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Friday, December 1, 2023: Tate Runs Interference
Days Recap Today
Holly calls Eric to find out if he has made a decision about the DNA test and he tells her that he’s decided to go along with it but he has to tell Sloan first. Sloan comes in and asks what he has to tell her and Eric ends his call. He tells Sloan that he was talking to Holly and that she has a plan to convince Nicole that their baby is not hers. He’s about to tell Sloan about the DNA test when she gets a text from Dimitri who is unhappy that the charges against Leo haven’t been dropped like she promised him they would. She tells Eric that she has to leave and that whatever he decides to do to convince Nicole is fine by her.

Nicole is saying goodbye to EJ before he goes to work. He promises her that he’s going to put Leo Stark away for his role in the death of their child and Nicole lies to him and tells him that she no longer believes that Eric and Sloan‘s baby is theirs. After she leaves, she goes into the parlor and talks to Holly. She admits to Holly that she still thinks the baby is hers and Holly tells her about her idea to have a DNA test done. Nicole is very excited that Eric agreed to it and gets her toothbrush to use for the DNA test. Holly is going to go with her but when she gets a text from Tate, Nicole tells her that she can handle it herself.

Dimitri is very upset when he reads the paper and sees that Leo is being arraigned on murder charges. Sloan gets there and he accuses her of lying to him. She tells him that EJ wouldn’t agree to drop the charges but that she’s filed a motion with the judge to get the charges dropped before the arrangement. She gets a message from the judge telling her that her motion has been denied and she apologizes to Dimitri.
He tells her that her apology is not good enough and takes out his phone and calls Nicole. He tells Nicole that he wants to talk to her about her child and Sloan takes the phone away from him and hangs it up. Nicole tries to call Dimitri back, but Sloan declines the call and tells Dimitri she will find a way to get Leo off. She suggests that if he turns himself in he can make a deal so that Leo goes free and he’s the only one that faces consequences.

Eric brings the baby to see Kayla at the hospital and she’s thrilled to meet her new great-nephew. He tells her that they haven’t chosen a name yet and they joke about it before he asks her to run a DNA test on the baby. He tells her what is going on with Nicole and says that’s why he wants the DNA test, so he can prove to Nicole the baby isn’t hers.
Kayla agrees to the test and Nicole shows up at her office with her toothbrush. Nicole looks at the baby in his car seat and smiles as she talks to him gently. Eric and Kayla look on in concern and then they all discuss the test. Kayla tells them that the results should be ready in about an hour and says that they can wait in her office for them.

Johnny and Chanel meet for breakfast at the Pub and she notices that he’s wearing a new bracelet. He tells her that Holly made it for him to thank him for hanging out with her on Thanksgiving but Chanel is still convinced that Holly has a thing for him. Johnny maintains that Holly‘s crush was on his father, but Chanel thinks it’s ridiculous. Tate comes over and backs up Johnny’s story. He tells Chanel that he and Holly are good friends and she told him about her crush on EJ as well but also told him that she’s completely over it.
He asks Chanel about the possibility of him getting a job at her bakery and she tells him that she needs help and he can fill out an application. He asked if they can do it right now because he’s on a break and then he and Chanel leave to go to the bakery. As they are leaving, Tate texts Holly that Johnny is alone at the Pub. Holly shows up and tells Johnny that she needs to talk to him about her mom. She confides in him about Nicole thinking Eric and Sloan’s baby is hers. In the Square Tate, thanks Chanel for the job application but then when she wants to go back to the Pub to see Johnny Tate tells her that she can’t.
