As [Spoiler] Cries ‘I’m as Good as Dead,’ an EJ and Li Team Up Could Save the Day… or Destroy It!
Halloween is always a scary time on Days of Our Lives, which makes sense, seeing as how it does take place in a town called Salem! But this year, the real frights are heading our way after the spooky holiday.
he never ending DiMera feud has been simmering for some time now, but, thanks mostly to Gabi and Stefan, the heat’s been turned up once more and it’s set to boil over. As they celebrate their ill-gotten gains, EJ’s fuming at Stefan and Gabi for swiping Kristen’s shares and (presumably) locking down Peter’s vote.
They’re all in a deadlock, which means grasping for every voting board member they can. Board members like Li. He, though, isn’t in the best shape. After his failed fling with Melinda, Li’s barely holding on by a thread as he once again focuses on his lost love, Gabi. How bad is it? He’s turned to Marlena for help… and there wasn’t brainwashing involved!
In other words, Li is anything but stable and about the only thing that’s holding EJ together is his baby and marriage to Nicole — both of which could fall apart at any moment!
So naturally, it’s the perfect time for them to team up! Dan Feuerriegel and Remington Hoffman spoke with Soaps.com at Day of Days and teased that these two enemies are about to take a turn!
“They’re both selfish,” Hoffman jumps in, “and they both can trust that each other is selfish.”
And as EJ’s portrayer puts it, the two agree that they could “use each other to obtain those goals and we both get what we want. Your enemy’s enemy is your friend.” Actually, Hoffman goes one step farther than that! “Your enemy’s enemy is your best friend,” he amends.
“We both realize, ok, we don’t trust each other,” but we’re gonna see how far we can go in regards to obtaining our goal.”
They’ll, “work together and then go at it after we’ve obtained our goals.”
But what that entails is another matter. EJ wants Stefan and Gabi neutralized, while Li likely just wants Stefan sidelined so he can get to Gabi once again. And Gabi? Her time in Salem is running out. That’s just about the one thing we do know.
If Gabi and Stefan win anyone else over to their side at DiMera, as EJ put it himself on the Monday, October 31st episode, “I’m as good as dead.” But with this volatile a mix of selfish, scheming characters working together to reach their own goals, we’re pretty sure that can be said about any one of them — especially Gabi!
