The latest offering of Days of Our Lives comings and goings come with some exciting news for long-time DOOL loyalists! While the soap is doing well even today, we still can’t quite get over the bygone era. It was just something else! A vibe that today’s television cannot match!

And a lot of the credit goes to the actors that brought those vintage stories to life through the characters. One such DOOL veteran is actor Bryan Dattilo. Days of Our Lives comings and goings state that he has played Lucas on and off for 31 years!

On April 1, 2024, Bryan took to his official Instagram account to share a big news! He announced that he is back on contract with DOOL on the occasion of his 31st anniversary with the soap. He even posted a picture of a young actor in his post that looks just like him but is NOT him. Wait what?

Argh guys! Don’t shoot the messenger, but, It’s a prank. Our hopes have been ignited and then quashed. Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal that Bryan has only pulled a April fools gag on us! He is not on contract yet. Although we would love to see Bryan bring Lucas on-screen full time!

In fact, the timing is perfect if you ask us. Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that Kate is resolute on bringing Lucas back to Salem, now that Clyde has fled. So, if makers put Bryan on contract, he really can stay! Moreover, we really are running a bit low on Hortons the past few years!
