Checking Out: Days of Our Lives’ Salem University Hospital Is Down a Doc

Days doctor mashup Tripp, Sarah, Talia, Kayla

Well, Jada’s family just shrunk back down to a party of one on Days of Our Lives as Talia hightailed it out of Salem and out to California! This wasn’t a huge surprise as we learned back at the end of August that Aketra Sevillian had already wrapped up filming thanks to an Instagram tip off.

When Talia’s portrayer posted a montage of videos with the simple caption “Lately,” doing everything from dancing and driving to hiking and riding thrill rides, Arianne Zucker (Nicole) chimed into the comments to exclaim, “Why you are still not on our show is beyond me. You are a beautiful light! To bigger and better!”

Less than two months later, on Tuesday, October 17, Talia left. Despite just securing a new job at the hospital, things just were not working out for Jada’s little sis!

The new job was great and all, but the bright shiny future that Talia thought she might have just slipped from her grasp when Chanel dumped her to go back to Johnny. Then there was the drunken rebound sex with Shawn, which even ticked off Marlena enough to take her patient to task! And when your therapist lays into you, you know things are bad.

And just like that Talia’s time in Salem is over. It’s been a wild ride, from her abusive, scheming boyfriend who tried to murder just about everyone he came in contact with, to the affair that chased Shawn out of town. But with Jada looking more and more like she’s setting down lasting roots, we can never count Talia out for good. Some day, she may be back and hopefully she’ll have her life in order once again!

A mortified looking Talia faces Belle and Shawn, who hold hands in the Square.

In the meantime, let’s hope Sarah heads back to the hospital soon, because with Talia gone and Tripp under attack from Clyde, poor Kayla’s pretty much holding down the fort on her own!
