Newest Recruit Has an Important Family Tie
Don’t be surprised if you see a familiar face on The Bold and the Beautiful on Thursday, Sept. 14. The young actor playing Forrester intern Ginge is Oliver Bell, the son of the soap’s executive producer/headwriter Bradley Bell and wife Colleen. He’s set to appear in scenes with Brooke and budding designer R.J.
If you try googling Bell, keep in mind that there is another Oliver Bell out there, and he, too, is in showbiz. In fact, the other Oliver Bell gave a particularly memorable performance as the devil, no less, on WGN’s supernatural drama Salem.
The Bold and the Beautiful and sister soap The Young and the Restless — both created by Bradley Bell’s parents, the late William J. and Lee Phillip Bell — have always been family affairs. Bradley’s sister Lauralee has played Christine on The Young and the Restless since the 1980s. Big brother William is the president of Bell-Phillip Television Productions. His wife Maria Arena Bell was once headwriter of The Young and the Restless.
At the top of this post, that’s Oliver back in 2015, visiting Dad’s workplace and hanging with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy), Linsey Godfrey (ex-Caroline; now Sarah, Days of Our Lives) and Karla Mosley (ex-Maya). He and sister Charlotte were on hand for the taping of the recent beach scenes during which Sheila, of all people, saved Kelly while Finn’s back was turned.
