Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Where is Ridge Forrester Coming From?

Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) asked if this new treatment entails pain, which was his first concern. Finn confirmed that it would cause some discomfort. John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) also told his father-in-law that he would have to be the one to make this decision.

Eric Forrester (John McCook) appointed Ridge as the person to make the decisions on his healthcare proxy. Since Eric is unconscious, they can’t ask him about his wishes on Bold and the Beautiful.

But Ridge’s decision seemed too quick. He didn’t take a second to digest what Finn just told him. Plus, he didn’t ask anyone else’s opinion, including Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), who is Eric’s partner in life. So, what is the reason behind Ridge’s sudden decision?

B&B Spoilers: Ridge’s Love for Eric Forrester Drives Decision?

Eric Forrester made his thoughts clear as he lay there on the floor, uttering what he believed to be his final goodbye. He told everyone hovering over him that it was his time. He also suggested on Bold and the Beautiful that he was fine with his fate.

Before this, Eric wanted no one to know he was dying. Last week on Bold and Beautiful, he worried about those he loves starting to pity him. Eric said it was his time, and he sounded as if he made his peace with this. So, it could be that his son doesn’t want to go against his wishes.

He said he loves his father too much to put him through a painful treatment that might not work. So, this was the reason he gave when declining Finn’s offer.

Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Eric’s Office a Bit Crowded These Days

Before Ridge Forrester learned that his father was dying, Eric’s moves made him angry. Eric Forrester handed over control of the company to him, and then suddenly his father started pushing his way back in.

But once Ridge learned that Eric didn’t have long for this world, he changed his tune on Bold and the Beautiful. Instead of throwing his win in the fashion design contest into his father’s face, he let his dad believe he had won.

His father forcing this new design line on FC took funds slated for other projects, like HFTF, which was already doing well. So, his father’s determination rattled Ridge Forrester as it upset the plans already set for FC.

So, until Ridge learned Eric Forrester was dying, he was furious at his father’s instance of taking over again. But then upon learning about his grave diagnosis, he stepped back, giving his father his final wishes. But at the same time, he likely thinks that this is only temporary because his dad has so little time left.

Now, some Bold and the Beautiful fans worry that taking the reins of FC may play into Ridge Forrester’s decision. Some viewers suggest that letting his father go not only keeps him from the pain of treatment but also puts FC back in his hands.

B&B Spoilers: Ridge May Say No But…

It looks like Ridge Forrester may have a battle on his hands. From the look on the faces surrounding Ridge when he declined Finn’s offer, it appears that he’s the only one who sees it this way.

Bold and the Beautiful spoilers have Finn and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) working overtime on Eric Forrester’s treatment plan. It also sounds as if they do this against Ridge’s wishes. Then it’s always possible that Eric wakes up, and it’s left up to him.

But the spoilers also say Donna is granted permission to see Eric next week. This odd wording sounds as if for some reason she’s kept from Eric at one point on Bold and the Beautiful. But one thing is for sure, Eric Forrester isn’t going down without a fight. Whether he battles his illness by doing this treatment or fights to let nature take its course without it on the CBS soap.
