A-ha! General Hospital’s Pikeman May Actually Be a Blast From the Past
Sure, Cyrus Renault turned out to be pulling Mason and Austin’s strings, but does that mean General Hospital’s resident prison preacher is the big bad guy? Nah. That would be Pikeman, the mysterious organization that’s had Sonny in its sights for months and has Cyrus so darn intrigued as a result. Which is why the raging debate over the identity of Pikeman’s top banana may still bear fruit — and very familiar fruit at that.
Viewers have been going back and forth for months about whether Pikeman is a solo baddie, a group, a man, a woman — throwing out names like Faith Rosco and Jerry Jacks — and, honestly, both Sonny and Anna have made so many enemies over the years, this entire piece could be a list of people with a beef. One very specific person is emerging as a frontrunner, though, and that’s Ted King’s Lorenzo Alcazar.
Though he’s been presumed dead since Jason dispatched him off screen in 2007 and Jerry and Carly covered it up, fans have never quite forgotten the charismatic history professor-turned-arms dealer. Who better to try and ensnare Sonny in a trap surrounding his shipments? After all, Sonny got in the way of Alcazar’s arms-dealing for the U.S. government, blowing the arrangement that would’ve allowed Lorenzo to walk away before Lorenzo himself was blown away.
What if Jerry double-crossed Carly and Sonny and helped Alcazar get away? What if he’s been laying low all this time, building a network of operatives and deliberately making connections to people like Valentin and Cyrus? And here’s an even more bonkers angle — what if he pretended to be Tomas Delgado on One Life to Live to help further these goals?
We know Kassie DePaiva is popping into General Hospital as Blair — September 15 and 18, per the actress on Twitter — and while many are speculating that Blair’s one of Martin’s ex-wives, what if she’s also got the dirt on Delgado? Back in 2012, Carly and Skye showed up in Llanview to tell her that the man she knew as artist and former CIA agent Tomas was a dead ringer for Alcazar. Fans of both shows were left hanging, as that plot thread was never resolved. Until now, perhaps?
The answers might just be imminent, because Ted King himself is lending credence to all of our whacked-out theories. The actor, ostensibly recurring as Jack Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful, hasn’t been seen on that show in months. And eagle-eyed fans recently caught that he changed his Instagram profile pic to one from his time as Lorenzo on General Hospital (see below!). Shortly after this observation made the rounds on September 9, he changed it again — to another photo of himself from that era.
Is King trolling us all a little? Possibly. Is that something a person playing Pikeman would do? Absolutely.
